How to relieve holiday stress

Every year my December has a specific rhythm.

I use the week after Thanksgiving and the week after Christmas to be a hermit, because I know the weeks in between are going to be a bit of an extroverting marathon.

Holiday parties and events

Corporate holiday workshops

Present shopping

Seeing all the decorations and display windows

Prepping for travel

And of course one last get together with friends

Of all times of the year, I know that my self care practices need to be extra intentional, planned and on point so that I can fully embrace and enjoy all the celebration, light, love and laughter that these last few weeks of the year can provide.

Without these intentional self care practices, the added stress on my body from all the busyness and merriment will take its toll leaving me feeling physically heavy, mentally burnt out and exhausted on all levels.

Here are some of the non-negotiable self care practices I am prioritizing time for these next couple weeks:

  1. All the 20 minute naps I want and can fit into my day

  2. Smartwater. Lots and lots of smartwater.

  3. Strategically planned matcha

  4. Weeekly infrared sauna sessions

  5. Morning mushroom elixirs

  6. All the essential oils

  7. Manicures

If you’re feeling some extra stress on or in your body from the holiday season, practice this 10-Minute Holiday Stress Relief Session now.

In dark times, may your holidays be full of light.
