Rebalance through grounding

These first 10 days of May were just as much of a whirlwind as I expected.

I traveled to celebrate a 50th birthday party, enjoyed a rooftop party to wind down a year of study, listened to the very brilliant Justice Stephen Breyer speak and celebrated the 1 year anniversary of my conversion to Judaism.

The one word that kept coming up for me this week was REBALANCE.

And for me that looked like doing things that would ground and center me.

Getting lots of sleep
Making sure to eat healthy meals at regular times
Lots of walks in the park to literally feel the connection of my feet to the ground beneath me.

Grounding activities can help to balance the energy in your body and reduce feelings of anxiety, overthinking or overwhelm.

They can help us more clearly define those things that truly matter and the ones that don't.

I always find I feel more confident and decisive in my thoughts and actions when I'm grounded.

If you'd like to feel more grounded and centered as you start your weekend (or anytime you need it),

Practice this Grounding + Centering Meditation

*The meditation is available through the Insight Timer App. If it's prompts you to set up an account to listen, it's free.

Wishing you a restorative, relaxing and rejuvenating week(end) ahead.
